" Open Home: Open Bible" has helped us to do something hitherto we had not been able to do"

" It has brought us together as a church." " Really exciting!" Church in Lichfield

What a summer it has been for OPEN HOME: OPEN BIBLE! At the International Christian Visual Media 2002 Film Festival in Los Angeles, this international video-based Bible resource received two Crown Awards. OPEN HOME: OPEN BIBLE was listed among the to three in the categories for Best Curriculum and Best Series.

Host for each of the 60 programmes on video, Richard Bewes ( Rector of All Souls Church, Langham Place in London) commented: "I feel deeply thankful to Christian Television Association and all those who worked so hard to produce this series," he says. " It has been an immense privilege for myself and my colleague, Dr Paul Blackham to engage in discussions with a range of invited contributors to focus on the great truths of the Bible and to hear of many who have since used the videos and joined in the studies all over again."

With well over 5,000 copies of the video sold already, OPEN HOME: OPEN BIBLE is being used in small groups in the UK, Africa, Australasia, the Far East and news arrived recently that a church in South Africa has 700 members who are using the material on a weekly basis. This resource, under the title 'The Bible Truth Treasury' is widely available in the US, distributed through Vision Video and it is also being shown via Sky Angel satellite on America's Faith TV Channel.

Look out for the new preview tape which is available. This video provides an introduction to the rest of the series and it includes a sample programme ( typical of the series ) taken from Tape 1, featuring guest speaker and author, Joni eareckson Tada in discussion with Richard Bewes and co-host Paul Blackham on the subject 'The Bible : It's Application.'

In closing - just to share a lovely comment which was made to Paul Blackham recently by a regular user of the OPEN HOME: OPEN BIBLE materials: " We know you so well. You and Richard Bewes have been running our homegroups for over a year now!"
