The man behind the mission...  Called to be a missionary from a young age, James Hudson Taylor dedicated his whole life to fulfilling his God-given purpose: to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of China.  Despite the huge personal cost, Hudson Taylor endured loss, tragedy and hardship in order to follow the calling of the God he loved and served.  During 50 years of missionary service he established the China Inland Mission (CIM), and pioneered the way for many other missionaries to follow.
